Steve Holtz - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Steve’s fandom took an incredible and unexpected turn recently when he scored $16 tickets to the UNC game at Cameron through the Autograph App. Without hesitation, Steve grabbed flights from South Dakota and brought his son to the greatest game in College Basketball. We sat down with Steve in this exclusive Super Fan Spotlight to learn more about his Duke fandom.

What classifies you as a Duke Superfan?
I’ve probably only missed watching 5-6 Duke Basketball games in the past 25 years. Our family schedules nearly everything around watching our Blue Devils!

What's your favorite moment as a fan?
Has to be Laettner’s shot against Kentucky. I jumped over a couch and screamed at the top of my lungs.

What's the best game (in any sport) you've ever attended for your team?
Zion year - Champions Classic where we absolutely destroyed Kentucky.

What's the craziest thing you've ever done as a fan?
Entered the Autograph drawing and winning tickets to Duke/UNC and buying last minute plane tickets from South Dakota to North Carolina.

What's the most memorable fan item you've ever spent money on?
I have a piece of the Spectrum floor from the 1992 Duke/Kentucky game signed by Christian Laettner.
