Simply put - Adrian is a Mavs Super Fan. Let’s be honest, when you get to witness the entirety of Dirk Nowitzki’s legendary career, it’s hard not to be. We sat down with Adrian for this exclusive Super Fan Spotlight to get the scoop on his journey as a fan.

What classifies you as a Mavs Super Fan?

One of my earliest memories in my childhood was seeing a Dirk Nowitzki poster hanging in my cousin’s bedroom - and I just knew. Just seeing the poster, I remember telling my cousin “that’s my favorite player” and from then on my love for Dirk and the Mavericks just grew.

From the heartbreak in 2006 when I cried myself to sleep, to crying tears of joy on June 12, 2011 when they did it. Dirk did it. The mavericks did it. I remember my elementary school days staying up late with my little portable fm radio listening to Chuck Cooperstein on the call and freaking out about all of the close games. Then watching Dirk’s final home game crying tears all the way in Utah, where I lived for a few years. The next day I went and got my “21.41.1.” Tattoo to always have those childhood memories with me.

To this day, any chance I get, I’m at a mavericks game, watching it at home, or streaming it from my phone while at work. There’s just something about the Mavericks that just lit a fire in a 6 year old kid that forever instilled a love for this team.

What's your favorite moment as a fan?

Without a doubt - June 12, 2011. The tears of joy just watching this team do it. Watching Dirk finally get his ring. Driving through downtown that night with my brother and seeing the city full of fans in the street celebrating us finally conquering the NBA. No one could ever take that away.

What's the best game you've ever attended for your team?

That would have to be the season opener 2022 - being able to take my parents and brothers to the game to watch them beat down the Grizzlies. Being able to share my love for the Mavericks with my family. Then, after the game, running into Mark Followill who was the source of so many childhood memories. Just being able to talk to him about how much joy his reactions brought a little 6 year old finding his passion for the Mavericks.

What's the craziest thing you've ever done as a fan?

Definitely going to every Mavericks game while I was living in Utah vs the Jazz. Fully decked out in Mavs gear and going crazy smack talking every Jazz fan. Definitely embarrassing all of my friends that were Jazz fans and making them regret going to the game with me.

What's the most memorable fan item you've ever spent money on?

An autographed Dirk Nowitzki jersey. The man that helped me start my love for the Mavericks.
